PCS members took part in the Halloween pay day protest on 31 October 2017
Use the PCS pay calculator to check the real impact of the pay cap on your cost of living.
You will already be aware that PCS has commenced a consultative pay ballot which opened on 9 October and will run through until 6 November.
Remember, if you have not yet registered your vote, you still have time to do so. It’s very important that you vote without any delay to ensure your vote counts.
You should have received your ballot paper by now. If you haven’t received a ballot paper, please contact PCS HQ by email (email@example.com) as soon as possible. Please quote your membership number or national insurance. Alternatively, you can call the Balloting Office on 0207 801 2810.
It is time for us to say that enough is enough. The pay squeeze in DCLG has gone on for far too long. Since 2010, research shows that civil service pay has fallen in value by nearly 10% – further and faster than both the rest of the public sector and the private sector.
All DCLG staff have been covered by the seven-year pay cap, all DCLG staff make an important contribution and we need to send the strongest possible message that all DCLG staff deserve a proper pay rise!
You are also reminded that there are still a number of membership pay meetings to take place over the next week in 2MS, Birmingham, Leeds, Warrington and a telekit for members based in the South West.
